Bargaining Bulletin #1 2011

CUPE Municipal Locals will begin negotiations with the Greater Victoria Labour Relations Board in June. Exchange dates have been agreed to and are set for eleven municipal bargaining units as follows:

• CUPE Local 50 Victoria Police Board May 30, 2011
• CUPE Local 1978 Capital Regional District May 31, 2011
• CUPE Local 1978 West Shore Parks and Recreation May 31, 2011
• CUPE Local 374 District of Oak Bay June 2, 2011
• CUPE Local 374 Town of Sidney June 2, 2011
• CUPE Local 374 District of North Saanich June 2, 2011
• CUPE Local 374 District of Metchosin June 2, 2011
• CUPE Local 374 City of Colwood June 2, 2011
• CUPE Local 410 Greater Victoria Public Library June 6, 2011
• CUPE Local 333 Township of Esquimalt June 14, 2011

There have been several All Presidents and individual Bargaining Committee meetings over the past few months in preparation for negotiations with the GVLRA. Each Local has committed to a coordinated approach in efforts to achieve the best possible agreements for all members.

Further information will be distributed once all Locals have exchanged their proposals (after CUPE 333 has exchanged their proposals on June 14, 2011).
