Who We Are

Since 1976, CUPE 1978 has been a strong voice for fair wages, safe workplaces, and equity for workers across southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

We are committed to building a supportive, inclusive community where every member is valued and heard.

If you work at the Capital Regional District, Island Health, Greater Victoria Housing Society, or West Shore Parks & Recreation, you may be represented by CUPE 1978 under a collective agreement that protects your rights at work.
